We were grateful for the attention my dad received from Diana. She was truly a blessing. It’s never easy having a family member in a care facility, but it was apparent Diana cared deeply about my dad. Nursing seems to be more than just a job for Diana, it is a calling.

Frequently asked questions

What is the overall benefit of having a RN Advocate?

Having the dedicated support of a personal RN, along with your primary care provider or specialist, has been proven to:

  • Decrease hospitalizations and Emergency Room visits

  • Provide best symptom control

  • Enhance overall health

  • Increase safety in your home environment

  • Promote dignity and independence

Who Pays for Independent RN Patient Advocates?

Independent patient advocates are not yet covered by health insurance. They are hired directly by patients and their loved ones to provide individualized support and guidance that the traditional healthcare system is not always equipped to handle.

Why not just rely on the patient advocate that works at the hospital?

Everyone employed by a health care company is limited to what they can accomplish for patients and families outside of the health care environment. Hospital/Clinic-employed patient advocates, navigators, social workers, and discharge planners are no different. They have heavy caseloads and work long hours with limited resources. Independent patient advocates, however, work one on one with patients and loved ones to explore options and improve communication and education.
